![]() We made huge changes and we are eager to share details about them. Send Instant Message | Send E-Mail | View Profile | Quote Reply | Linkĭear fans of Heroes of Might and Magic II!Īs we promised few days before we are releasing a new version of fheroes2 game engine - 0.9.16! I do not care for new content, mechanics and systems.Īnd I guess I'll repeat at the end again, if a tweak is optional - no one will complain. To reiterate, I like Heroes II as it is, and at most want to tweak the existing mechanics and systems - stuff like changing numbers or small QoL features, which keep the spirit of the game completely intact. I find it kind of hypocritical to say my suggestions are too much, when you said in one of your posts you want new towns (I think?) and artifacts in the game, which are way bigger changes with magnitudes bigger impact. The game will be played entirely the same otherwise. Maybe the hero restriction will make the map a bit harder, that's it. My proposed tweaks are so tiny that they won't affect the game any-which way if a person decides to use them even with a map or campaign that wasn't developed with them in mind. WoG's options are stuff like entirely new behavior and systems (commander units, more unit upgrades etc.). Everything else will remain the same gameplay-wise People in HIII play duel with one hero only, so we know the game can be played like that without any issue as well. Only thing the backpack does is quality of life when you are full and can't pick up new artifacts. Logic for cursed artifacts should be 1 if statement.īoth this and the hero number restriction optional rule are very very small tweaks imo. 1 additional button at the current screen which opens the backpack in a new window will probably be the easiest way. I think that would be very easy to implement. What I mean is same interface as Heroes II currently has, only there are two spaces for artifacts, one active, and one for storage (same way how in HIII you have the paper doll system, which is active, and the row at the bottom - which is passive storage). When I say artifact backpack I don't mean the paper doll system. I think we are indeed misunderstanding each other. ![]()
